The Inca Berry aka Golden Berry (Physalis Peruviana) plant is part of the Physalis Genus. Also known as Cape Gooseberry and Pichuberry. During pre-Incan times, the Golden Berry was first domesticated in its native regions across the tropical highlands of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Golden Berries are now grown in different regions throughout the world. Revered as a Superfood, the Golden Berry has been cultivated in England since the late 18th century and remains extremely popular today.
