Maca Root Blend is a mix of four types of Maca Root, Black, Yellow, Red and Purple. This blend gives you the special characteristics and nutrients of all the colours of Maca. All of the Maca types used have been gelatinised – this is a heating process that removes the starches from the roots. Traditionally Maca is cooked before use as it is used in its whole form. Globally the powdered version is used and it’s typically raw – this means the starches are still in tact and harder to break down which reduces the bioavailability of the nutrients.
